Hi everyone, my name is John Human; I’m the director, writer, and producer of “Plata o Plomo” (Money or Lead), a totally independent film.
“Plata o Plomo” (Money or Lead) is my first feature film. I’m a big admirer of the Italian Neo-realism and its representatives. In this genre, I find irresistible movies like “Ladri di Biciclette” (Bicycles Thief) de Vittorio de Sica. “Roma, città aperta” (Roma, Open City) from Roberto Rossellini.
I like films whose actors are natural, with no experience whatsoever; movies about social issues, and cruel realities. I value the stories and movies created by the Colombian filmmaker Victor Gaviria, with films like: “Rodrigo D: No future” (Rodrigo D: No Future), “La Vendedora de Rosas” (The Rose Seller), and his last movie “Sumas y Restas”(Additions and Subtractions). These were my inspirations to create my masterpiece.

“Plata o Plomo” (Money or Lead), has been a project I have devoted great, time, dedication, effort, and patience.  I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the people that have supported my dream along this beautiful journey. To my production team, the talent, the artists, and to those who have contributed with their music. To my friends and family that unconditionally supported us without hesitation.  All this strength and union has been the fuel needed to grow this project into a reality.

This movie is one story that will give a lot to talk about… A very guerrilla style picture whith practically no budget but a great desire to learn and make progress!
Our idea is to participate in various International film festivals; however, my highest wish has always been to inspire young filmmakers to create movies regardless of not having the necessary resources. There is a world of available alternatives to make a motion picture, the idea is to work hard in pursue of a dream… so, roll up your sleeves and start working!
